KHS Ranked Top Public High School in Ohio
U.S. News & World Report released their Best High Schools Rankings for 2018 today and Kings High School has again been named among the best high schools in the nation! KHS ranked #683 out of more than 22,500 public high schools in the nation, earning a silver medal and giving them the distinction of being in the top 3% in the country!
This ranking puts Kings High School at #8 among other Greater Cincinnati high schools, as well as #25 in the state of Ohio out of 822 eligible high schools.
U.S. News assesses several factors to come up with the rankings such as enrollment, graduation rates, the results of state assessments and Advanced Placement (AP) exams, and college readiness. KHS has an AP participation rate of 64%.
The rankings and data offer the most comprehensive information available on public high schools in the U.S. To produce the rankings, U.S. News worked with a research organization and their methodology reflects how well high schools serve all of their students, not just those who are planning to go to college.
KHS Principal Doug Leist said, “This recognition solidifies that we continue to maintain our solid academic reputation. Even as the state continues to place mandates on us, we are succeeding as one of the top 3% public high schools in the country as we prepare our students for college and careers. This ranking means a lot to us as it is a testament to the great staff K-12, students, and parents as we work together to provide the best possible education for our students.”
Congratulations to our staff and students of Kings High School for their great success!
