Updated CDC Guidance - Masks - February 25, 2022
On Friday, February 25, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released updated guidance regarding lifting masking requirements on public school transportation. In alignment with this guidance, all Kings students and staff are no longer required to wear masks when utilizing Kings Local Schools Transportation. This guidance will be in effect beginning Monday, February 28.
The CDC is making this change to align with updated guidance that no longer recommends universal indoor mask-wearing in K-12 and early education settings in areas with a low or medium COVID-19 Community Level. We are thankful to be seeing little or no cases of COVID-19 in our schools.
Even with the above guidance, we will continue to be a mask-friendly District for those who would still prefer to wear a mask.
Again, we thank our staff, parents, and community for their patience and cooperation as we continue to navigate all of the changes. We are one step closer to returning to a pre-pandemic normal.
