Update on Tax Bills
Posted on: February 10, 2023
The Kings Community should have or will be receiving their property tax bills from Warren County.
If you look at your tax bill for this year compared to last, you will see a couple of differences.
- School taxes increased. Our community approved a 6.4 mill operating levy in November of 2022 that will be used for day-to-day operating expenses, including payroll, benefits, student services, utilities, etc. This is the first tax bill with the increase.
- County taxes increased. Warren County and multiple other political subdivisions granted a “tax holiday” for taxes paid in 2022. This removed their share of the property tax levies for one year. This holiday has ended, and the levies were placed back on your bill resulting in an increase. If not for the holiday, everyone would have paid this amount last year as well.
Please reach out to Kings Treasurer Mike Morrow with any questions. His email address is mmorrow@kingslocal.net.
We thank the Kings Community for your financial support.
