The Next Community Learning Series Addresses Diversity
Posted on: November 6, 2018
Mark your calendar for November 15 when Adrian Williams, Kings parent and mediator and counselor, will facilitate a community forum as part of the Kings Community Learning Series on the topic, "Is Your Child Ready for the Ever-Increasing Diverse World Outside of Kings?"
The presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Kings Junior High School Multipurpose Room (enter door D-5 from the parking lot located between the Kings Junior High School and the football stadium).
In this informative session, Mr. Williams will be sharing statistics and information related to diversity and inclusion, including:
-What is it?
-Why is it important?
-How has the student population changed at Kings?
-How does the student population at Kings compare to local universities? To the state of Ohio? To the US?
-What do today’s children need in order to be successful in a widely diverse world?
-How can parents prepare and equip their children to be successful in a diverse world?
The Diversity and Inclusion Task Force will be collecting children's books (5th & 6th grade level) that evening to be donated to a teacher's classroom library. Learn more about the book drive. See you there!
