School Reopening Update
Last week, Warren County public school superintendents created a draft document that identifies some common practices that can be considered to reopen schools for the 2020-2021 school year. You may have seen this document on the news or on social media. This document is only a draft. As a District, we have been working on return plans as well, but unfortunately, we can’t make any final decisions until we get the reopening requirements from Governor DeWine that are supposed to be released within the next 10 days.
As soon as the governor’s requirements are released, we will finalize our plan based on his and the Ohio Department of Health’s requirements. At that point, we will be communicating the plan with you and asking for your feedback on your child’s plan to return to school. With the fluid nature of this situation, there will most certainly be changes and updates all the way up to the start of school. We are asking for your patience and flexibility as we work through all of the details of getting school up and running during a pandemic. One thing is for sure, we will implement safety protocols to the highest degree possible.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding as we work through all of the moving parts associated with re-opening our school buildings.
