New KHS Women's Varsity Basketball Coach Named
Katelyn Haralamos, was approved on Tuesday, June 21st at the Kings Board of Education meeting to become the next Women’s Varsity Basketball Coach at Kings High School. She is a former Kings High School Women’s Basketball player and a graduate from the Class of 2011. She was a four year varsity letter winner for the Lady Knights and continued her athletic career at Wittenberg University.
While at Wittenberg University, Katelyn earned multiple honors. She was a four year letter winner, four-time North Coast Atlantic Conference Player of the Week, D3hoops.com Player of the Week in December 2012, two-time NCAC Honorable Mention (2011 & 2013) and NCAC First Team in 2015. Katelyn was also selected to the Zimmerman Classic Kiwanis All-Tournament team three times (2011, 2012 & 2014) and was a two-time MVP of the tournament in 2012 and 2014. As a Senior Tiger, Haralamos joined the elite 1,000 point club at Wittenberg, becoming only the 10th player in program history to achieve the mark. She left the Lady Tiger program as the 7th All-Time Leading Scorer.
Katelyn graduated from Wittenberg University in 2015 with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Business. She currently works for Robert-Half Staffing Agency as a Staffing Manager. Katelyn has been very involved with the Kings Program and is excited to take over the top position. “I could not be more excited to have one of our own, returning home to lead the Lady Knights,” Athletic Director Tyler Miller said, “She brings a passion for our community and our student-athletes and I’m looking forward to her leadership.”
