Kings Receives Auditor of State Award
Posted on: February 15, 2019
A recent financial audit of the Kings Local School District by the Auditor of State’s office has returned a clean audit report. Kings’ excellent record keeping has earned it the Auditor of State Award for 2018.
Auditor of State, Dave Yost said, “Clean and accurate record-keeping are the foundation for good government, and the taxpayers can take pride in your commitment to accountability.”
The Auditor of State Award is presented to local governments and school districts upon the completion of a financial audit. Entities that receive the award meet the criteria of a “clean” audit report.
Kings Treasurer, Cary Furniss said that this award is a positive reflection of every employee in the Kings District. He said, “Every employee has the obligation to follow the policies and procedures put in place by the State of Ohio. This award shows that our employees are doing a great job!”
This is the third year in a row that Kings has been awarded this prestigious honor.
