Kings Diversity & Inclusion Task Force Looking for Members
Posted on: September 20, 2018
The Kings Diversity and Inclusion Task Force is looking for Kings Community members to join in the efforts of the Task Force. D&I Task Force Coordinator, Jorge Gonzalez is leading the efforts to bring members of the Kings Community to assist in the diversity and inclusion efforts in the District.
The meeting dates have been set for the year and they are: October 9, November 13, December 11, January 8, and February 5. All meetings begin at 4:30 p.m. and are held in the Kings High School Office Conference Room.
For more information contact D&I Task Force Chair, Rich Titus at richard.titus@gmail.com or D&I Coordinator Jorge González at jgonzalez@kingslocal.net.
The Task Force has also created a GoFundMe page in order to purchase multi-cultural books for Kings K-6 classrooms. Their goal of $1,500 will purchase a minimum of 3 books for each classroom and 18 copies of approved novels for 6th grade Language Arts. All proceeds raised will be spent on these books and if we end up with additional funds those will be applied to bringing diverse toys into classroom.
