Kings 2016 Athletic Hall of Fame
The Kings Athletic Department and the Kings Athletic Booster Club are pleased to announce the 2016 Kings Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees. Three alumni and one former coach and educator make up this year’s class. Inductees were recognized at a ceremony before the Kings Men’s Basketball game against Lebanon on Saturday, February 6th, 2016 at Kings High School. The Hall of Fame Class of 2016 inductees are:
Bobby Atkinson (Football/Wrestling – 1999-2003)
- 2002 Western Star Defensive Player of the Year
- 2002 Cincinnati Enquirer First Team All-City
- Kings High School Football All Time Leader in Tackles (390)
- Three Time All-FAVC (Wrestling)
- Two Time FAVC Conference Champion (215 lbs. Weight Class)
- 2003 Sectional Ohio Division 1 Champion (215 lbs.)
- Four Time District Qualifier (Wrestling)
- Three Time Cincinnati Enquirer All-Southwest Ohio Team (Wrestling)
- Kings High School Wrestling Wins Leader (128)
Lindsey Graessle (Swimming – 2003-2007)
- All-FAVC 2003-2007
- 2006-2007 FAVC MVP
- Two Time Ohio Division 1 State Champion (100M Breaststroke 2004,2005)
- Two Time Ohio Division 1 State Runner-Up (100M Breaststroke 2006,2007)
- 2004 Cincinnati Division 1 Swimmer of the Year

- Holds 5 Kings Swimming Records
Alyson Schmidt (Swimming – 2001-2005)
- Three Time All-FAVC First Team
- Four Time FAVC Champion (50M Free, 100M Backstroke)
- 3 Time District & State Qualifier
- 5 Time All Ohio and 1 time All City
- First Kings female athlete to receive a Division 1 athletic scholarship (Miami University – Oxford)
Gary Schearing (Physical Education and Coach – 1983-2013)
- Over 300 wins as Head Varsity Baseball Coach
- FAVC Champions 1999
- District Runner Up 1999
