KHS Senior Lands Perfect ACT
Kings High School is proud to announce our first perfect ACT in many years from senior, Drew Dailey.
In March, Ohio students could take the college entrance exam for free as part of new testing requirements from the state.
Drew scored his perfect 36 on his third attempt, although he hit 34 on the other two tries! Heidi Murray, Drew’s Academic Counselor said, “I have never seen a 36 in my 17 years here.” Ohio’s average ACT score for the graduating class of 2017 was 22. The national average is 21. On average, less than one-tenth of 1 percent of students who take the ACT gets a perfect score of 36.
Drew was recently named as a Semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program. He was recognized at halftime of last week’s football game as a KHS Academic Achiever.
Drew is most proud of his accomplishments in cross country, quiz team, and being named a National Merit Semifinalist. He plans to attend Cooper Union College to study Mechanical Engineering.
Congratulations, Drew on this rare achievement!
