KHS Chamber Chorus Performs at Disney

Posted on: December 8, 2015

The Kings High School Chamber Choir just returned for a trip to Florida where they performed in Walt Disney World's annual Candlelight Processional.

The choir auditioned unknowingly, as directors of the choral department, Scott Hayward and Hope Milthaler, told them they were rehearsing and recording a piece for a fellow colleague. After the recording, the two directors sent the audition tape to Disney to see if they would be picked for the Candlelight Processional.

The Candlelight Processional is held every year at Epcot Center and joined by a 50-piece live orchestra and this year, narrated by Whoopi Goldberg.

While in Florida the choir participated in two different singing workshops, one at the University of Florida and another with a cast member at Disney. The choir was joined by 4 other schools, Disney cast members, and Disney performers during the Candlelight Processional.

Stay tuned for a video link of the entire Candlelight Processional coming soon!
