Bow Wow Bakery(formally known as K-Night Dog Bones) is a class-run business at Kings High School that offers students with disabilities the ability to work both independently and together as a team to create healthy dog bones to sell to district staff, family, and friends.

The class has been working together trialing new recipes, exploring and researching packaging, stamps, stickers, and treat cutters. The students voted on a new name, type of dog to use on the logo, color scheme, and logo design which was created by KHS senior, Caroline Cooper, who is a Digital Media Arts student.

The Bow Wow Bakery crew works with KHS Job Coach, Mary Seniours, to make and prepare the dough, roll and cut out the dog treats, and label and freeze the dough each and every week. The treats are handcrafted with love for your furry friends, and made from all-purpose flour, sweet potato puree, and cinnamon.

KHS MD Intervention Specialist, Shannon Mitchell works closely with Seniours and Student Manager, Tommy Romano to keep the business up and running. She said, "We are also blessed with dedicated paras and support staff to work alongside our students to make the entire process happen each and every day!" The students are also supported by Occupational Therapist, Melissa Miller and Speech Language Pathologist, Katie Gould.

The cost of the dog bones is $3 per bag (3 oz/16 dog treats) or 2 for $5. The treats are sold in the District, as well as, Coffee Caravan in Lebanon. They will also be available for purchase in the Kings High School main office.
