Senior Parents- The College Application Process
Also Military and WorkForce Interested Students
Enlist, Employ, Enroll
Today school counselors hosted a senior class meeting where your student's future plans were discussed.
Whether your student will be applying to college, or looking into careers in the workforce or military,
details and next steps were provided and are also shared here.
This is alot of information. We encourage you to read carefully.
Please keep in mind our school counselors available to help answer student and parent questions.
Lastly, these documents are also always available on our KHS Counseling Website.
FAFSA usually opens October 1 for students who will be attending college in the Fall of 2024.
- Each college or university that your student has applied to will go out and "grab" the FAFSA information.
- They will use it to decide what kind of Grants, Loans and Scholarships to offer your student.
- Each College will then mail to you or make available on their portal their "Cost of Attendance" statement. This usually happens in the February/March timing but may be delayed this year due to the change in the FAFSA Open date.
