SCHOOLS CLOSED ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 14, 2022

Posted on: January 13, 2022

Since returning to school from Winter break, we have seen an increase in the number of absences for both students and staff.  This has impacted each of our buildings and the lack of available substitutes has challenged our building administration, teachers, and support staff significantly.

Therefore, we will close all of our schools on Friday, January 14, 2022.  This will be considered a calamity day and not a remote learning day.  All schools will reopen on January 18, 2022.

This is a result of COVID-19, general illness, and a lack of staff at all levels of our organization.   Available staff have been covering vacancies and supporting individual student needs.  We are appreciative of all of their efforts.

Moving forward, if there is a need to make another scheduling adjustment we will implement remote learning and teachers will communicate expectations for these days to their students.

When we return to school on Tuesday, January 18th, we will continue to implement the current mask requirement for grades Pre-K-6 through Friday, January 28th.  This short nine-day extension will enable us to maintain existing procedures and give us an opportunity to monitor the current variant.  Please be sure your child comes to school with a mask.

We are in desperate need of substitutes in all areas; teaching, aides, cafeteria, secretaries, and bus drivers. If you can find some time to help us out, please visit our website

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
